The "Word To Go" is a java application you download to your phone that contains the entire text of the Bible. You can read it, search it, bookmark it and jump to any book or chapter. Anywhere you go with your mobile, you’ll have God’s Word with you. This version requires a java mobile handset with 1.5MB memory.

The "Word To Go Lite" was specially designed for lower memory phones to offer the same features, but this version contains only the reading engine part and gets the content off of our website, downloading it piece by piece. In this version you can only search the chapter you are reading.

Depending whether your handset has enough memory to support the full application you’ll be directed to download the "Word To Go” or the "Word To Go Lite" automatically.

The New International Version (NIV) is a translation made by more than 100 scholars working from the best available Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts. In 1967 the New York Bible Society (now International Bible Society) undertook sponsorship of the project. Goals of the NIV was to be an accurate, beautiful, clear, and dignified translation suitable for public and private reading, teaching, preaching, memorizing and liturgical use.
